LG unveils incredible 65-inch "roll-away" 4K TV

Past year we included LG's rollable TV concept in our most mind-blowing gadgets from CES 2018, and now the television of the future is back at the popular tech expo in Las Vegas, and is ready to be the companies flagship 4K OLED TV for 2019. The price and availability of the Signature Oled TV R has not been confirmed.

The Line View allows the TV to be partially unrolled for tasks that do not require the full TV.

During its CES 2019 press meet, LG revealed the Signature OLED TV R, its first rollable OLED TV that will be available for purchase later this year. Nowadays you can get a 65-inch 4K monster that will offer great image quality for under $1,000.

This brand-new form factor is even more useful than a conventional TV, since LG also designed three "display modes" that take advantage of its rollable display. In the Line View, users can choose from features such as Clock, Frame, Mood, Music and Home Dashboard.

Beyond that, LG/Vizio TVs will support Apple HomeKit, so you'll be able to control certain functions from iOS. Individuals screens could be combined to create massive displays, which the company calls The Wall TV.

LG's new OLED TV R's base also rocks a hefty 100W Dolby Atmos speaker rig, and are reportedly about as good as a good soundbar.

In addition to the 88-inch display, the company also showcased a 65-inch 8K OLED display, a variant with 4K OLED with world's fastest motion picture response time of 3.5ms.

With the LG Signature OLED TV R, this could be changed. The Alexa integration lets supported LG TVs function like a smart display or Fire TV device, showing information retrieved by Alexa on the screen and easily accessing Amazon Prime Music and Video content.

Furthermore, the LG TVs will come with Apple HomeKit support, so users will be able to control their LG TV using the Home app or by asking Siri voice assistant.
