Doughnut Truck Fire Fuels Twitter Joke of Police in Mourning

The Toledo police department wrote in a tweet, "Hang in there, 2019 will get better".

Police in Lexington, Kentucky have shared their tearful selfies after a donut truck caught fire and had its sweet, delicious cargo destroyed.

Officers rushed to the scene near Man o' War Boulevard and Pink Pigeon Parkway and were able to quickly put the fire out, WKYT reported.

"No words", the department tweeted on New Year's Eve, along with the photos. The truck, however, is expected to be a total loss. "We hope you like sprinkles".

Other law enforcement agencies jokingly sympathized with the officers. The doughnut chain promised the mourning officers Tuesday that more doughnuts were on the way.
