The former Kansas City Chiefs running back was filmed kicking and pushing a woman in a video obtained by TMZ.

"You can't really explain it", Hunt said of kicking the woman while she was on the ground.

During a live interview with ESPN on Sunday, the NFL's reigning rushing champion also said that league officials never spoke to him about the incident while conducting their own investigation, and that he never saw the security camera video until TMZ Sports posted it Friday.

The Chiefs announced Friday evening that the team is releasing Hunt immediately.

The Eagles' certainly do have a need at running back, which is why bringing in Hunt will likely be very tempting for the front office, even if he nearly certainly won't be playing until the 2019 season at the earliest.

In addition to being cut from the Chiefs, Hunt has been placed on the NFL Commissioner Exempt list, which means he is barred from practicing, playing in or attending games. "I'm going to take the time to better myself, learn from this, get some help if needed, talk to people and really just take this really serious".

Recently released Kansas City Chief running back Kareem Hunt says he's "definitely not that type of person", referring to a surveillance video at a Cleveland hotel that shows him hitting and kicking a woman.

"So this game will be a good measure of how far they have come - they played some big teams earlier in the season and fell short. To arrive in Barcelona and compete we will need fresh legs, fresh minds and no injuries.

Police raid Deutsche Bank headquarters in money laundering probe
At the time, Deutsche Bank severed ties with a Cypriot lender partly owned by VTB Group that was identified in the reporting. Citing prosecutors, Bloomberg added Deutsche "may have helped clients in setting up offshore companies in tax havens".

Now, fans are asking a familiar set of questions: What did the National Football League know about the domestic violence incident, and did it try to hide what happened? Hunt already had run for more than 800 yards and had 14 total touchdowns, helping Kansas City form one of the league's most dynamic offenses. He was suspended during his junior season at Toledo for a violation of team rules, and he was accused of a second, unrelated assault over the summer.

The Chiefs said the footage proved that Hunt, who helped propel the team to first place in the AFC with a 9-2 record, had been "untruthful" with investigators.

"I was in the wrong, I could have took responsibility and, you know, made the right decision to find a way to deescalate the situation".

The woman has yet to speak publicly about the incident, but told police she thought Hunt should be arrested at the night of the incident. And with a soft schedule down the stretch, including two games against the Raiders, there is plenty of time for their offense to adjust to life without Hunt in the backfield. "I lied to them", Hunt said. Hunt was not asked by Salters about a June incident in which he allegedly punched a man at a OH resort.

Hunt, 23, was accused of punching the male guest at the Bay Lodging Resort in Put-in-Bay back in June after he got into a verbal confrontation with him. If he goes unclaimed, then Hunt will become a free agent. "I made a bad decision at that time and I just hope that people forgive me".

As to the why he did what he did, apparently "some things were said".
