Manchester United scramble 2-2 draw with Arsenal

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho admits mistakes cost his side after they drew 2-2 in a highly entertaining clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford tonight.

Alexandre Lacazette restored Arsenal's lead in the second-half, but Jesse Lingard fired back immediately - 13 seconds after the substitute bundled home for the Gunners.

"This is a performance of big soul and heart", Mourinho said.

De Gea redeemed himself with two fine saves from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan also had a late Arsenal goal ruled out for offside.

Whatever troubles have befallen United they can usually rely on Spanish keeper David de Gea but even he seemed to suffer with the "panic" Mourinho says can overcome his side.

Ashley Young (suspension) and Victor Lindelof (muscular injury) are definitely ruled out, and while Matteo Darmian is fit to return, Luke Shaw is a doubt after coming off with a knock in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Southampton. Following the match, his opinion wouldn't have changed much as Chelsea's surprise loss to Wolves meant that they still trail the 4th position by a total of 8 points and that United would certainly need their opponents to drop more points - while accumulating the maximum number of points themselves that they can.

United had an answer in the 31st as Leno palmed a Marcos Rojo free kick toward the end line but Herrera kept it in bounds with an industrious effort that went right to Martial.

Ohio State edged out of College Football Playoff
The wild card was Georgia beating the mighty Tide, which could have meant two SEC teams for the second straight season. We had a great year, won many games vs. ranked teams and had a great conference race and championship game.

"I think we controlled the game, the second half better than the first", Emery said.

'When we are winning it was a good moment but they equalised very quickly then we got up after their two goals.

"It's a game that holds a special place for me, playing against Arsenal at Old Trafford", Rashford told United's official website.

His only concern was a nasty-looking ankle injury sustained by Joe Gomez in the first half. Arsenal failed to deal with a long ball from the kickoff and after Kolasinac diverted the ball towards his own goal, Lingard stole in to poke a shot past Leno.

"Our injuries are leaving us in a very hard position to manage, and I have to say that some of our players deserve real credit for their team ethic and bravery to be playing in positions that are not natural to them; for example, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic playing as central defenders in our last match".

Southampton, Burnley and Fulham occupy the three relegation spots with nine points each.
