Trump makes final push in battleground states as midterm election nears

Trump and Obama are the most popular figures in their parties, and their appearances on the campaign trail are created to stoke enthusiasm among core supporters in the late stages of a midterm congressional election widely seen as a referendum on Trump's first two years in the White House.

Trump has had a busy campaign schedule in the final stretch of the race, with 11 rallies over six days - including two planned Sunday and three Monday in Ohio, Indiana and Missouri.

He plans to spend Election Day conducting get-out-the-vote interviews with local media at the White House, where he is set to watch returns come in.
