The woman told The Atlantic magazine, which broke the story, that the man who contacted her was clear about what he wanted, telling her: "I want you to make accusations of sexual misconduct and workplace harassment against Robert Mueller, and I want you to sign a sworn affidavit to that effect". Burkman tweeted on Tuesday that he will hold a press conference to "reveal the first victim" of Mueller on November 1. But the scheme had a few too moving parts (that contained blatant falsehoods), which caused its swift undoing.

Jack Burkman posted a similar rebuff - saying the left were attacking him in "desperation" and saying the allegations about him promising to pay women were false.

"The establishment media knows that Mueller may go down over this - they want to deflect attention".

The Hill Reporter tried to investigate her claim, but she gave either a fake name or a fake home town, and after a reporter tried calling her he got a text message that said, "You're in over your head...." Though she wrote in the email that Mueller was "always very polite to me, and was never inappropriate", the law firm where Parsons said she worked alongside him - Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, known at the time as Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro - said it had no record of Parsons working there.

But she's not the only woman who's come forward: Jennifer Taub, a professor at Vermont Law School, received an email from a man using a Surefire Intelligence email address around the same time, on October 22.

"We've interviewed many. The investigation is ongoing".

The news comes just as conservative commentator Jack Burkman claims to have information about a number of women who were sexually assaulted by Mueller.

Reuters was unable to connect with anyone at phone numbers listed on Surefire Intelligence's website.

Jacob Wohl describes himself as a conservative, a Zionist and one of President Trump's most loyal supporters.

According to the Atlantic, the woman told reporters that Burkman "offered to pay off all of my credit card debt, plus bring me a check for $20,000 if I would do one thing". Reporters have so far not been able to verify them. "To me, this was all a setup from somebody trying to discredit the media".

The Federal Bureau of Investigation declined to comment.

What have Wohl and Burkman said?

.

Wohl's political activism ramped up with the start of Trump's campaign in 2015, and since has skyrocketed.

Nevertheless, Burkman's latest promise was pounced on by right-wing outlets and figures, including the Gateway Pundit and prominent young Trump devotee Jacob Wohl. Episode titles have included "The Caliphate Comes to Toronto" and "Full Commie". But the email wanted her to dish out scandalous details on the man looking into the Trump campaign's possible collusion with Russian Federation during the 2016 campaign.

The Special Counsel was appointed to investigate Russia's attempts to influence the election that made Donald Trump President. He has secured six guilty pleas and a trial conviction in the 17 months he has overseen the investigation.
