It's not exactly an uplifting motivational storyline as the game focuses on Skarn, Herald of Terror, collecting individual parts of the destroyed Worldstone to try and resurrect Diablo. Blizzard Entertainment is producing Diablo Immortal, a massively multiplayer online (MMO) action role-playing game for phones and tablets. In time-old internet fashion, they've resorted to a flurry of mocking and angry threads across Twitter and Reddit, as well as smashing that dislike button on YouTube. In a blog post two weeks ago, Blizzard all but said as much, telling fans that the highly anticipated Diablo III sequel would not be at this year's convention.

The events of Diablo Immortal are set after the events of Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction and before Diablo 3.

Diablo Immortal will allow players to play six classes familiar to Diablo players: Crusader, Necromancer, Demon Hunter, Barbarian, Wizard, and Monk.

If that tickles your fancy, then how about a cinematic trailer with the polish and production value people have come to expect from Blizzard titles?

For a newcomer to the series, I personally loved the gameplay trailer of Diablo Immortal and can't wait to have this new experience on my smartphone along with my friends.

Some of the beauty of the Diablo franchise is that it's pretty easy to navigate, and that simple movement system translates very well to mobile with Diablo Immortal. Players will travel places like the haunted temples of Bilefen, the Forgotten Tower, as well as the game's capital city of Westmarch.

Q: How do you plan to stay relevant with a mobile game in a heavily PC-dominated market?
