Mourinho has come under intense pressure after a disappointing start to the season that sees his team seven points behind Premier League pacesetters Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Manchester United climbed up to the 8th spot, courtesy of their thrilling victory over the Magpies.

Jose Mourinho has received lots of criticism this season at Old Trafford due to Manchester United poor performance in all competitions.

"The players, the manager, it has been a tough start to the season".

That's great news where United fans are concerned, but there's a good chance Mourinho won't be happy when he hears why Martial is suddenly interested in extending his stay. The 55-year-old has had very public fights with stars such as Paul Pogba, but there are others who remain frustrated by Mourinho.

I think there is something being released on Netflix soon, a documentary based around that fight and it will have all the rounds. Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor in the fourth round of their wildly entertaining UFC 229 fight on Saturday.

Teenage midfielders get call-ups by England
Gareth Southgate says the "big call" to select Borussia Dortmund teenager Jadon Sancho aligns with England's current philosophy. The selection of Sancho and Mount, as well as set-piece specialist Maddison, is Southgate's way of confronting that problem.

N activists protest against arrest of Shahbaz Sharif
President Shehbaz Sharif was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday in a Rs 14 billion housing scam case. And on Sept 19, the Islamabad High Court suspended their sentences and granted them bail till the disposal of their appeals.

The report adds that Mourinho would be meeting with the board this week to decide his future.

However, David de Gea holding out in contract talks will be even more of a concern.

If that is genuine it puts the club in a hard position as Shaw, who has been United's Player of the Month for both August and September, is out of contract in summer.

De Gea remains under contract until 2019, although United retain an option to extend to 2020. "Some of the players have to be better".

A number of reports indicated that he would be sacked today regardless of the result on Saturday but the manner of the victory may have given him a reprieve over the worldwide break, although many still speculate that he still won't see out the fortnight with Zinedine Zidane a heavy favourite to take over at Old Trafford.
