But much of the focus has been on Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing and what would be the largest jackpot prize in USA history.

The numbers drawn in Tuesday night's drawing are 5, 28, 62, 65, 70 and Mega Ball 5. The largest it has ever been for either Mega Millions and Powerball.

No one has matched all six Mega Millions numbers since July when a group of 11 co-workers won a $543 million (£415.4m) prize.

With more than 300 million possible combinations, the odds of winning are 1 in 302,575,350.

- Despite the bad odds - one in 302.5 million for those keeping score at home - someone will eventually match all six numbers and win the Mega Millions jackpot, which now stands at an estimated $1.6 billion.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2.00 per play. In Arizona, people who win more than $600 can keep their names secret for 90 days after claiming prizes, but after that names are public record.

Since Friday's drawing, ticket sales are at a frenzy.

That puts the jackpots for the nation's two largest lotteries at more than $2.2 billion.
