'We won our group in the Champions League and when I said it was a fantastic season, I knew why.

There was measurably more effort exerted from Jose Mourinho's men as they seemed hungry for goals throughout the encounter but seemed unable to actualise it.

However, while United legend Paul Scholes has claimed Mourinho is "embarrassing" the club and is surprised the Portuguese has not been sacked, former Red Devils striker Dublin offered his backing to the under-fire manager.
