Federal Bureau of Investigation finishes report into sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh

It remains to be seen what kind of light the Federal Bureau of Investigation can shed the claims against Kavanaugh, but one thing is already clear: Many Senate Democrats won't be satisfied with the narrow scope of the probe.

McConnell had said Wednesday morning that senators supporting Kavanaugh would not be deterred from voting this week by protesters in the Senate hallways.

"There's no time and no place for remarks like that".

If they don't have the votes, the nomination fails.

Harcourt said they signed out of concern about a rush to judgment, in the belief that for the Senate to elevate Kavanaugh "without full information and deliberation to the Supreme Court would undermine the respect owed" to the institution. Three Republican and two Democratic senators, all moderates, have yet to announce how they will vote, and the GOP's razor-thin 51-49 Senate majority means Kavanaugh's fate remains unpredictable.

President Trump was cheered on by a crowd of Republican faithful in MS yesterday as he mimicked Dr Ford's responses to questions at last week's Senate hearing and joked about her inability to remember details surrounding the night of her alleged attack.

She said Mr Trump was "pointing out factual inconsistencies". I don't know. I don't know. "I don't know. Upstairs". I don't know - but I had one beer. "That's the only thing I remember". In the statement, a man who says he is Ford's former boyfriend says he saw Ford, a psychology professor, coach a friend on how to be less nervous during a polygraph examination.

"With all of that you can not say that we've done anything but be respectful, and I do".

Reporters were quick to say that it was wrong to say that the president was speaking "facts", citing Ford's on-the-record testimony about who, when and where.

A Harvard Law School spokesman confirmed that Kavanaugh would not return to teach. He has previously called Dr Ford a "very credible witness".

Sanders also blasted Democrats, accusing them of launching a "full-scale assault on" Kavanaugh's integrity.

White House reportedly allows Federal Bureau of Investigation to expand Kavanaugh probe
He did not attack Christine Blasey Ford , who offered a stark description of her alleged assault last week before Congress. McConnell says accusations against Kavanaugh of sexual abuse in the 1980s have been uncorroborated and are unbelievable.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, Legendary Raj Kapoor ji's wife #KrishnaRajKapoor ji passed away today morning. She further added, "In our long conversations, Raj-ji often spoke about Krishna-ji and all she had brought into his life".

Earlier, a trio of Republican senators crucial to Kavanaugh's confirmation prospects criticized President Trump for mocking the account of a woman who has accused his Supreme Court nominee of sexual assault decades ago.

Trump ordered the FBI investigation last Friday, limiting its duration to no more than a week.

Key Republican senators have called the White House in the last two days to make clear that they expect a fulsome investigation as the FBI reviews allegations against Kavanaugh.

"They'll read it as quickly as they can and that'll not be used as another reason for delay, I'll tell you that", McConnell said Tuesday. Bloomberg's Joe Sobczyk reports on "Bloomberg Daybreak: Asia". With Republicans defending majorities in the House and Senate next month, officials cast Trump's visit as an attempt to get ahead of a potentially perilous situation.

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has a complicated history that contradicts his own predicament as he defends his nomination.

Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, said Ford's story hasn't been corroborated and people should be presumed innocent until proved guilty.

Opposition among Americans to Kavanaugh has increased since last week's hearing, Reuters/Ipsos polling data showed on Wednesday.

But Flake also said that the President's attack would not influence his vote.

Trump spent much of the rally, however, lamenting the treatment of Kavanaugh by Democrats, whose attacks, he said, had taken their toll on the judge's family. Trump said when he goes to political rallies, which are organized by Republicans, he sees that voters are angry at the "vicious and despicable" way Democrats are treating his nominee.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said "the president was stating the facts" at a MS rally where he imitated Professor Christine Blasey Ford.
