Asked about his relationship with United boss Jose Mourinho, Pogba replied: "We have a pure coach-player relationship, that's right".

After falling out with manager Jose Mourinho last season, Pogba was courted briefly by Juventus and Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

"We're in August. There are a lot of points to play for and the real season starts after the global break".

Pogba was made captain for the opening match of the season against Leicester, but following that clash, he refused the opportunity to end talk of his unhappiness, stating: "There are things and there are things that I can not say otherwise I will get fined".

FC Barcelona's Luis Suarez has even tried to persuade Pogba to move to the La Liga champions, but Paul Pogba has come out and said he is committed to Manchester United. The centre-back also said that it was crucial for the team to keep the detractors quiet post the confident win against Burnley, as their campaign did not get off to an entirely bright start this season.

Yet Robson believes the Frenchman has the club's DNA, having joined the academy in 2009 at a time when some of their most successful players were there.

Man United players talking about Zidane arrival, think Mourinho's gone
Man United tasted their first defeat of the season at Brighton & Hove Albion before being hammered by Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs .

It's a well known fact that John Terry supported Manchester United as a youngster. Against Tottenham, we were really positive and really strong and I think the opponent, a very good opponent, felt that and felt they were really in trouble.

He said, "Pogba's an elite player who's won everything". He has a lot of quality and he's one of the references at United.

"I got back late [from the World Cup] so I'm trying to perform as well as possible".

Now Mourinho himself has referred to that contract as the reason why he is unafraid of the Old Trafford hierarchy wielding the axe.

'In the Premier League, if we are honest, he hasn't done it consistently, ' Wright told Sky Sports when discussing Pogba's performances. "I always give everything for United - I can not say more".
