Jimmy Garoppolo's season is over.

Second-year quarterback C.J. Beathard sat second on the 49ers' quarterback depth chart entering Sunday, starting five games for San Francisco in 2017.

With Jimmy Garoppolo out for the season with a torn ACL, the 49ers are looking at all their options. Beathard was sacked 19 times last season. Garoppolo got hurt in the fourth quarter of a 38-27 loss Sunday when he was scrambling toward the sideline and chose to cut up field instead of going out of bounds.

Garoppolo was carted off the field during the fourth quarter of yesterday's 38-27 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs after his left knee buckled right before making contact with cornerback Steven Nelson. Head coach Kyle Shanahan will speak to the media at 4:00.
