Lacazette also scored late for the Gunners on Wednesday after Alan Judge had made it a nervous second half for the hosts by pulling a goal back from a free kick.

Welbeck has played only 41 minutes of Premier League action since Emery's arrival, with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang forming an impressive partnership up front.

Our first half was very good because our pressing was very good.

Welbeck's first start of the season actually came on England duty, as he led the line for the 1-0 friendly win over Switzerland at the King Power Stadium earlier this month. "He gives us his quality and commitment every day", the Arsenal boss told his post-match press conference. When he's playing with a performance like today he's helping the team and it gives us more [choices for the first 11] in the next matches. "I am very happy with Danny Welbeck".

Injured Griffen isn't at Vikings' loss against Bills because of "personal matter"
The Buffalo Bills jumped on the back of Josh Allen on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings and rode him to a 27-6 victory. The Bills turned the Vikings into the exact type of team Mike Zimmer doesn't want them to be.

"I know they are in the a year ago and are speaking with the club". I am telling you, the performance and the commitment of the player is very high. There's the club, the player and the team, and my focus is the team.

After heading the Gunners in front after four minutes, Welbeck rounded off a fine team move for the second before the interval.

"I said to him [Welbeck] when he arrived back with us after the holidays that I want the best performances of his career - and to work hard for that", Emery said.

"There are three things. We forced a very good team into mistakes and nearly took them to penalties at the end".
