The exchange on Meet the Press on Sunday began with Mr Todd asking Mr Giuliani whether the Trump team was stalling about a possible testimony at the inquiry led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into alleged meddling by Russian Federation in the 2016 U.S. election.

Rudy Giuliani's puzzling statement on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday, following one by another Trump aide previous year about "alternative facts", suggested that people in Trump's orbit might be denying the existence of reality.

Giuliani says it's "silly" to say Trump should testify "because he's going to tell the truth and he shouldn't worry" because "it's somebody's version of the truth". He dismissed the idea of Trump having any foreknowledge about Russia's efforts, or potentially obstructing the subsequent inquiry. Todd recognized it immediately too, noting that Rudy's line was apt to turn into a "bad meme".

"I guess Jared is a fine man, you know that", Giuliani said.

"Truth is truth", Todd said.

Politico reporter Linda Cook added that Giuliani's statement is part of the administration's strategy to undermine public trust in all major institutions and that their attacks are escalating as Mueller closes in.

Turkish high court rejects appeal for USA pastor Brunson's release
Investors are concerned that Turkey has amassed high levels of foreign debt to fuel growth in recent years. Turks expected Trump to create an obstruction to this conspiracy, yet we see he too has joined it.

"No, no, no ... don't do this to me", said Giuliani, putting his hand to his head.

"Truth isn't truth?" Todd said.

Trump says he allowed McGahn and others to testify.

Giuliani even suggested they may not have known she was Russian. It's especially unsafe to try to tell the truth to a federal officer since lying to one is a criminal offense; make an honest mistake in remembering details and you might get indicted depending upon how material that mistake is.

The former Federal Bureau of Investigation chief tweeted: 'Truth exists and truth matters. Why does the White House keep letting him go on TV?

On Sunday, Giuliani defended the Trump legal team's drawn-out negotiations over a possible meeting between the president and Mueller's team by saying he does not want Trump to be caught in a so-called perjury trap.
