It has just been announced that she has been moved to hospice care in her home.

"We believe she'll pull through it, she believes she'll pull through it, and that's the important thing", Tim Franklin added.

"She stepped right up at the beginning of the concert and dedicated it to her, and [we're] hoping and praying that Aretha makes it", concertgoer Selam Sanders said. "We love you and thank you".

Beyonce dedicated her performance to the singer at the On The Run II Tour on Monday night in her hometown, while in the same show, DJ Khaled played Respect.

Franklin - whose three siblings all died of cancer - has battled ill health over the last few years and in 2011, denied she was suffering from pancreatic cancer, though she later admitted she'd had a tumour removed.

Franklin's last known performance was at a private gala for the Elton John AIDS Foundation last November.
