Barr said sorry for likening Jarrett to an ape in a racist tweet in May that caused universal outrage and spurred ABC to cancel her rebooted sitcom "Roseanne".

She explained: "It cost me everything".

"I am a creative genius, and this is not a good feeling for an artist to be treated this way, and it's not a good feeling for a citizen, either", Barr added. And in the eyes of most Hannity viewers, Barr is probably forgiven tonight-if not applauded.

"I want to apologize to [the viewers], too", Barr said.

She said: "I hope you'll try to understand me and accept my apologies for my part in this big misunderstanding'". During the interview, Barr apologized for her "ill-worded" post and reiterated yet again that she is not a racist.

"I don't know how to reconcile with what you saying and what she has said with what the facts are", Hostin said. When asked if she's ever been hospitalized for mental-health issues, she told Hannity, "Honey, that's like going to the beach for me".

"Plus I'll tell her, she's gotta get a new haircut", Barr added.

To be spat at... personally, I'd have a bit of an issue if that was going on in my country. Maybe if one of them has an off day, you never know.

"I am sorry that you feel harmed and hurt. I never meant to hurt anybody".

Hannity then pressed Barr multiple times on whether she wanted to apologize to Jarrett for the tweet, and what she would say to her if she could.

"I'm a Republican on 'The View, ' and every day I come one here and tell people that Trump supporters and Republicans are [a] nuisance, and it's not just one blanket thing", McCain said.

She expressed interest in talking to Jarrett, or perhaps working out a way to find a "teachable moment" in an encounter with her. We need to talk about race and everything that's connected to it. He said, "This is an opportunity in many ways for her". The people who voted for Trump, they're not racists either.

Which implies she did think it was ok to compare a person from a country in the Middle East to the offspring of an ape - another serious stereotype. I think they had a plan for a long time.

"I have a different view of that", responded Barr as she gave her first TV interview since she was sacked from "Roseanne". The network announced the creation of "The Conners", a spinoff show connected directly to the show's family, will drop later this year. While Barr's transgressions were quite different, Boteach called for love and healing while clearly distinguishing the difference in Jewish law between someone who did one bad thing and someone who demonstrates a pattern of bad behavior.
