The world came to know Viktoria Skripal when she applied for a British visa, seeking to visit her uncle Sergei and cousin Yulia after they had allegedly been poisoned by a nerve agent in Salisbury, but was denied.

"He told me that they found something that looked like a perfume bottle".

Earlier Thursday, Britain's Press Association cited an unnamed person with knowledge of the investigation as saying that police believe they have identified "several Russians" as the perpetrators of the March attack, through study of closed-circuit TV footage.

Dawn Sturgess, 44, and her 45-year-old partner Charlie Rowley collapsed at his house in Amesbury within hours of each other on June 30.

Ms Strugess died in hospital on 8 July and a murder investigation was launched.

"They [investigators] are sure they [suspects] are Russian", the source added.

Charlie Rowley, 45, was released from Salisbury hospital on Friday, three weeks after falling ill alongside his partner Dawn Sturgess, who later died.

"I am pleased to confirm that earlier today, Charlie Rowley was discharged from hospital", Lorna Wilkinson, Director of Nursing, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, said in a statement. "Obviously he's stronger than I thought".

Best of Amazon Prime Day
By about 4:30 p.m., many Prime Day links were working, and Amazon said later Monday that it was working to resolve the glitches. This week's strikes have also inspired widespread calls for shopper boycotts on social media platforms such as Twitter .

The results may help inform the process to establish conclusively whether the novichok was from the same batch that was used in Salisbury to poison the Skripals.

Last week, the Metropolitan Police confirmed they had found a small bottle believed to be the source of the contamination.

Paul Cosford of Public Health England said it was safe for Rowley to leave hospital.

They have since been discharged from hospital.

He and Dawn Sturgess fell ill after being exposed to the same agent that affected former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter.

Recall, Rowley along with his friend don Sturgess was in the hospital June 30 with symptoms of poisoning with nerve substance, which the authorities believe are a novice.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: 'The investigation into the Salisbury attack remains ongoing and we're not prepared to discuss any lines of enquiry at this stage'. Britain was quick to condemn Russian Federation for the attack, as Novichok is a substance manufactured only there, but Moscow has denied playing any role in the matter and demanded proof.
