Shortly after the announcement, which came in a surprising manner, James posted a three-photo tribute to Cleveland fans on his Instagram account. His free agency has been under intense speculation since the Cavs lost the finals in four games to the Warriors on June 8.

George's move has given James more to process, but the chance to restore Los Angeles to prominence may be just what he needs at this point in his career.

The Lakers have positioned themselves with a massive amount of cap space to make noise this summer. According to Real GM's Keith Smith, the Lakers are projected to have $46.82 million in room.

Julius Randle remains a restricted free agent who the Lakers have a big decision on.

The team can pair James - and whoever else might be coming - with Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma.

While every team dreams of being ruled by King James, only a few have a legit chance of signing him. And while he has always been compared to Michael Jordan, Johnson is the one whose game more closely resembles his own.

Yes, the Lakers are still favorites-but not total locks-to sign LeBron James, league sources say.

Germany out of World Cup 2018
Then, Mexicans at the game - and around the world - cheered wildly when South Korea scored its first goal. Mexico, having beaten Germany and South Korea , will take on the victor of Group E in the next round.

Uruguay too slick for sluggish Russian Federation
Still, Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez sees the match as an opportunity to fine-tune the team for the next round. The host team achieved its minimum objective and already qualified from Group A along with their opponent.

Zimbabwe President Mnangagwa Escapes Explosion in Political Rally
Mnangagwa has pledged "peaceful, free, fair and credible elections" and called for peace and unity after the attack. The broadcaster also showed footage of a jovial Mnangagwa walking around the state house gardens in Bulawayo.

The deal is for four years and $154 million with a player option in the fourth year. Apparently he does, and he is set to become a free agent after next season if the Spurs don't trade him sooner. That number will slowly rise over the course of the contract.

Cleveland's roster was exposed during this year's finals, and James may not have seen a way for it to improve enough to win a fourth title.

Houston took Golden State to seven games in the Western Conference finals back in May.

His life wouldn't change all that much, and by staying in the Eastern Conference, he would have an easier time getting to the NBA Finals. The East has two prominent, talented teams in the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, but the rest of the conference seems to be a level below the West's best teams. Embiid's opinion notwithstanding, the Lakers are James' team now.

For the second time in his career, James is saying goodbye to the Cleveland Cavaliers, who drafted the teenage sensation from Akron in 2003 and have to be satisfied with winning just one title in the 11 years they had him.

With James signing in Los Angeles, that should invite plenty of agonizing debates regarding which player is better: LeBron James or Kobe Bryant.

He also opted out of his contract with Cleveland in 2015, to sign a new two year deal with a one year option.
