Wonder Woman sequel photos reveal major character returns

Wonder Woman 2 has an official title: it's called Wonder Woman 1984.

"Wonder Woman 1984", which arrives in theaters November 1, 2019, is now in production and is filming right here in Washington.

Steve Trevor was presumed dead in last year's Wonder Woman movie, having heroically sacrificed himself in order to prevent Ludendorff's poison gas from being unleashed on London. In the second set photo, Wonder Woman is seen looking at several television screens, an invention that wasn't around during the time period of the first film.

Early Wednesday, Warner Bros. officially announced that Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to the 2017 smash hit Wonder Woman, was officially in production.

It's a pretty self-explanatory title as the movie is taking place in 1984 and. wait is that Chris Pine?

Over the course of the first movie, Steve Trevor came to mean a lot to Diana - so much so that she was still visibly affected by his death in "Justice League". An explanation for his return, given the events of the first film, is still unclear.
