According to The Mirror, reflecting on their 1-1 draw with Iceland, the 1986 World Cup winning star for Argentina lamented the Lionel Messi-led side's performance.

It was another extraordinary result in the history of Iceland, who famously dumped England out of Euro 2016.

Messi had a penalty saved in that draw and Dalic wants suggestions from Rakitic on how best to frustrate his Barcelona teammate. He also managed the country during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where they were eventually beaten 4-0 by Germany in the quarter-finals.

Argentina were awarded a penalty with 25 minutes remaining. But Pogba won a tight match for the 1998 champions when his shot bounced over the line off the crossbar in the 81st minute.

"Strangely, we had difficulties in buying tickets", he said. "I have no doubt that a goal from the penalty kick would have changed everything".

"We have the youngest team in this World Cup", Rohr said. "I can't see where all the Argentinians bought their tickets".

When asked who the favourites to win the World Cup are, he replied: "There are many".

Arsenal fans bemoan tough start after seeing Premier League fixtures
Liverpool begin their season at home to West Ham United, with Manuel Pellegrini taking charge of the Hammers for the first time. After opening against the reigning Champions, Arsenal will then contest a London derby against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

He has taken 103 and scored 79 and missed 24 which gives Argentine a 23.33% miss rate, which also equates to a miss once every four penalties.

The Super Eagles went into the game with high hopes, but it was the Croats that showed more grit winning the battle in the midfield and putting the Eagles on the back-foot.

"We didn't deserve to lose, but we can't cry over spilt milk".

Croatia moved two points clear at the top of Group D ahead of the showdown against Argentina in Nizhny Novgorod on June 21, where another victory should be enough to secure a place in the knockout stage.

"Argentina is going to be a very hard match against maybe the favourites in the group", Modric said.

They did have the flawless opportunity to win the match, though.

The Real Madrid midfielder converted from the penalty spot in the second half to ensure Croatia got off to a flying start after Oghenekaro Etebo's own goal in the opening period.
