Florida police make arrest in rapper XXXTentacion slaying

Rapper XXXTentacion, also known as Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was a controversial rising star, who faced multiple charges for different incidents in recent years.

Authorities have arrested a suspect in the killing of rapper XXXTentacion, who died Monday after being shot while he sat inside his SUV outside of a motorcycle dealership. The 20-year-old was in his vehicle leaving a motorcycle dealer when two armed suspects approached the rapper and at least one fired shots, according to the Broward Sheriff Department.

Williams was booked into the Broward County Jail on several charges, including first degree murder in connection with the death of XXXTentacion.

He faces first-degree murder charges.

In a release on Wednesday, the CCSO said that an address had been widely circulated on social media after the death of Onfroy.

She wrote in subsequent posts this week that she was kicked out of the vigil for XXXTentacion, and that someone burned the items she had brought for the rapper to the memorial.
