Mark and Christina Rotondo brought the case to court after their adult son, Michael, ignored several eviction letters from them over the past few months, Syracuse.com reported. Mark and Christina Rotondo brought the case to court in upstate NY after their son ignored several eviction letters offering money and other help.

When all was said and done, the judge asked the parents' lawyer to come up with an eviction order that Greenwood would sign.

The judge ultimately ruled in the parents' favor and ordered Rotondo to move out.

Despite the outcome, Michael Rotondo said his fight isn't over yet.

"They said, 'you need to get a job, you need to get health insurance, '" he said. "You need the money and will have no place for the stuff".

Michael still didn't heed the notice that it was time to move on, and according to a note dated March 5 his parents reminded him of the looming deadline of March 15, documents show. He said he supports himself through his business; but wouldn't elaborate, telling reporters: "My business is my business".

Rotondo called the ruling "outrageous".

In one letter written February 2, Rotondo's parents wrote: "Michael, After a discussion with your Mother, we have decided that you must leave this house immediately", signed, "Mark and Christina Rotondo". The story went viral after Syracuse.com first reported on it last week; its article features a series of letters the Rotondos gave their son, starting with one on February 2 of this year giving him 14 days to move out.
