"That sounds like a choice", he said during an appearance on entertainment site TMZ.

"Over the years, West has made headlines for some of the comments he has made, including his 2005 claim that then president George W Bush doesn't care black people". Frankly, I'm disappointed, I'm appalled, and brother, I'm unbelievably hurt by the fact that you have morphed into something, to me, that's not real.

T.I. stopped by The Breakfast Club on Wednesday and said that during his conversation with West, he realized he doesn't know anything about politics and Trump's policies.

"I said to people sometimes 'I've been black all my life". It "broke my heart. when you're a slaved, you're owned. that's not choice, that's by force", he told Good Morning Britain.

On what he thinks caused it, West said: "Fear, stress, control, being controlled, manipulation, like being a pawn in a chess piece of life, stressing things that create, like, validation, that I didn't need to worry about as much".

USA hip-hop artist Talib Kweli said Mr West's comments put "targets on our backs". "Any speech that is used to weaken them and make them culpable for the wretched and putrid circumstances, I don't feel like I could really tolerate that". While many of his tweets have been concerning (his love for USA president Trump?), his recent spats suggesting that slavery is a choice that was made by slaves - to stay in slavery - is outright infuriating. Conservatives - including Trump himself - have welcome West with open arms.

The hitmaker who is married to reality star Kim Kardashian, has bragged of his brand's success and its lucrative business. "If I say I love Dr. Jan Adams that performed my mother's final surgery, people don't accept forgiveness and love". After his comment created a stir, he took to Twitter to explain his point, saying he meant that people "were mentally enslaved". Slavery is embedded within us. We are controlled by the media. "What are you talking about". The TMZ employee lamented the repercussions of making such a reactionary comment. But don't count Lathan among those looking forward to any new albums from West.

"He also quoted Harriet Tubman, he goes, 'I freed 1,000 slaves, I could have freed 1,000 more, only if they knew they were slaves, '" Kilmeade said, reading from an iPad as Steve Doocy nodded along with him.
